摘要: Abstract Introduction Indonesia antiretroviral therapy guideline suggests the use of Non-Nucleoside Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitor (NNRTI)-based regiments as first line HIV treatment and Protease to replace NNRTI when failure occurred. This case-control study was aimed factors predicting first-line ART among positive patients aged >15 years, non-pregnant, registered in our institution, Indonesia. Methods Diagnosis made according standard WHO criteria. Demographic outcome variables were recorded. The association between analyzed by Chi-square test with odds ratios (OR) 95% confidence intervals (95% CI), followed multivariate analysis using logistic regression test. Results Twenty-six index cases 26 age- sex-matched control included a mean age 32.27 ± 8.7 years 32.88 ± 8.15 respectively. Median time for switching second-line (Lopinavir/ritonavir, LPV/r) 46.32 ± 30.21 months. Patients presented tuberculosis treated nevirapine 26.6-folds CI: 2.41–293.81, p = 0.007) 6.7–folds 1.56–28.45, p = 0.011) higher risk failure, Conclusions presence strong predictors ARV suggesting closer clinical monitoring those conditions. A further larger prospective cohort is needed confirm findings this study.
