摘要: Aim: We examined an economical method for evaluating the amplification of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) gene in breast cancer specimens. Materials and Methods: compared HER2 determined by fluorescence situ hybridization (FISH) on whole-tissue (WT) blocks used diagnostic tissue microarray (TMA) sections a cohort 521 consecutive patients with cancer. In subset 116 patients, we concordance from WT section TMA randomly chosen additional block (a proxy core biopsy). Results: Overall between was 98.2%, 99.0%. Conclusion: The high rates support use evaluation suggest that FISH can be to assess using biopsies.
