摘要: Aims:  To compare tissue microarray (TMA) and whole-section (WS) techniques in the routine assessment of HER-2 status invasive breast cancer by immunohistochemistry fluorescence situ hybridization (FISH). Methods results:  was assessed prospectively 106 consecutive cases excised high-grade and/or node-positive carcinoma using both WS- TMA-based techniques. Whole sections were with FISH being performed on equivocal (scoring 2+ Hercep®Test) randomly selected 3+ included for quality assurance. Five 0.6-mm cores from each tumour allowed accurate immunohistochemical testing >95% cases. Ninety-seven per cent concordance achieved between WS TMA approaches to analysis, only discrepancies that borderline or near comparable terms time preparation scoring. Conclusions:  technology is a robust method assessing cancer. This directly current standard methodology whole sections. The use offers several advantages over existing full-section methods cost, control, facilitation future research facility provide high-throughput methodology.
