When a colonoscopy becomes a duodenoscopy: a palliative treatment of a malignant sigmoidoduodenal fistula.

摘要: We report a case of 63-year-old female patient suffering from cachexy, anaemia and intractable chronic diarrhoea. As an underlying disease, we found malignant sigmoidoduodenal fistula primary adenocarcinoma the sigma which represents rare complication frequent disease. Despite theoretical need for pancreaticoduodenectomy, only multivisceral en-bloc resection small intestine left adnexa was performed because bad general nutritional condition; this illustrates successful multimodal treatment with palliative intention locally advanced colon cancer to alleviate clinical symptoms. The further decourse fast development hepatic metastases confirmed decision.
