摘要: Benthic observations were carried out at 22 stations in the Western Isles region of Bay Fundy on east coast Canada to evaluate impacts salmon aquaculture sites. Eleven sites located under net-pens and 11 (reference or control locations) distances > 50 m from net-pens. Total S- redox potential (Eh) surface sediment benthic O2 uptake CO2 release sensitive indicators organic enrichment. High variability between replicate measurements gas exchange could reflect spatial patchiness sedimentation fecal waste food pellets fish pens. Biomass deposit feeders was significantly increased cage but total macrofauna biomass similar reference locations. Surface water content, modal grain size, pore salinity sulfate, least
