Thyroid disease: a study in Hiroshima, Japan.

摘要: The relation of thyroid disease to single, whole-body exposure ionizing radiation was studied in matched samples exposed and non-exposed subjects residing Hiroshima, Japan. Clinical investigations were conducted on 169 patients with disease, whom 152 females. It concluded that a number etiological factors are significant the production simple goiter. Carcinoma diagnosed 12 patients. Although greater malignancies seen among most heavily exposed, differences distance groups not statistically significant.
