摘要: Abstract In the present study LD slag geopolymer (LDSGP) was synthesised from calcium oxide rich raw slag, a waste of steel making industries for use as potential low cost adsorbent high removal Ni 2+ ions aqueous solution. The geopolymerisation performed in plastic mould where colloid mixture and alkaine activator (sodium hydroxide sodium sillicate (1:1 w/w)) were cured 3 days at room temperature. LDSGP characterized by using XRF technique, BET surface area, SEM & TEM images, XRD patterns, FTIR spctra TGA. Batch experiments adsorption conducted different temperatures (298 K, 308 K, 318 K). equlibrium data successfully fitted Langmuir isotherm maximum uptake , onto LDSGP, found to be 85.29 mg/g 318 K. rate well pseudo-second-order model indicating process dominated chemisorption. Thermodynamic analysis proved that spontaneous nature.
