摘要: The nonpathogenic HSZP strain of HSV-1 induces large polykaryocytes due to a syn3 mutation (His for Arg at residue 858) in the C-terminal endodomain glycoprotein B (gB) (40). We determined nucleotide (nt) sequence UL27 gene specifying gB polypeptide (gBHSZP) and found 3 mutations its ectodomain aminoacids (aa) 59, 79 108. ANGpath virus, which also has (Val Ala 855) is pathogenic adult mice (39), but can be made by replacing gBANGpath corresponding gBKOS (21). had three (at aa 62, 77 285), while least four ectomain (aa 79, 313, 553). Two 59 79) latter, located variable antigenic site IV/D1 were common gBHSZP. These together with 62 create cluster 4 diverse region N-terminal part (between 59-79), gBs 17 viruses differ from KOS viruses. lower pathogenicity as related gBKOS, furthermore associated change Ser Thr 313 (locus III/D2). possibility discussed that both above mentioned loci could result higher immunogenicity epitopes, which, turn, would contribute decreased virulence
