摘要: This invention is a solution process for the preparation of ethylene-.alpha.-olefin/diolefin copolymers comprising contacting ethylene, one or more .alpha.-olefin monomer, and optionally diene with catalyst system containing activator Group 4 metallocene compound, comprising a) conducting polymerization reaction at temperature about 60 to 150 °C; b) selecting as compound members group consisting cyclic monocyclopentadienyl metal covalently bridged (bis) indenyl hafnium compounds;and c)maintaining concentration molar ratio that ethylene between 0.3 7.0 diolefin 0.01 0.4. In preferred embodiment comprises:1) mixing solvent optional activator, either together separately, thereafter 2) an effective scavenging prior introduction unactivated under condition such in contact period time not exceeding 1 minute, 3) presence said monomers. The can advantageously practiced least 60°C,preferably above 80 °C, most preferably 110 achieve high number average molecular weight polymer having monomer contents conversion rates. particularly suitable elastomeric ethylene-propylene ethylene-propylene-diene elastomers.
