摘要: A phenotyping of bacterial colonies on agar plates using forward-scattering diffraction-pattern analysis provided promising classification several different bacteria such as Salmonella, Vibrio, Listeria, and E. coli. Since the technique is based phenomena, light transmittance both colony medium critical to ensure quality data. However, numerous microorganisms their growth media allow only limited penetration render measurement a challenging task. For example, yeast, Lactobacillus, mold, soil form colorful dense that obstruct most incoming passing through them. Moreover, blood agar, which widely utilized in clinical field, completely blocks incident coherent source used forward scatterometry. We present newly designed reflection scatterometer validation resolving power instrument. The reflectance-type instrument can acquire backward elastic scatter patterns for highly opaque has been tested with three genera grown plates. Cross-validation results show rate above 90% four genera.
