Cardiovascular Aspects in Laron Syndrome Patients

摘要: The chapter describes the role of congenital insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I) deficiency, such as in patients with Laron syndrome, on cardiac function, exercise capacity, endothelial and intimal thickening. Despite small dimensions, heart function is normal, capacity significantly reduced similar to that normal controls. Brachial artery diameter was smaller than controls but no differences measures. Intimal thickening common carotid internal arteries slightly higher LS compared data highlight risks for cardiovascular disease IGF-I deficiency.
