摘要: A health-related quality of life (HRQOL) model that fitted data collected in previous studies from two separate samples--patients with chronic physical illness and patients mental illness--was adapted tested on a representative sample drawn the normal population. This model, which implied both health influenced number friendships, personal growth, job satisfaction, very well. However, an alternative reversing directions pathways so satisfaction affected health, latter having mutual effect each other, even better. suggests that, although medical HRQOL may be more important when it comes to alleviating illness, psychosocial maintaining preventing illness. Moreover, fact essentially same five-factor structural fits three distinct populations, healthy unhealthy, there general applicable all populations. The implications these findings for clinical theory, policy, practice are discussed.
