摘要: Purpose – This paper seeks to link conflict and mediation theory practice using an asymmetry framework. Past research often assumes that parties perceive the same amount of conflict, neglecting members may have different perceptions.Design/methodology/approach study conducted surveys interviews with 30 involved in examined effects parties' perceptions task relationship on absenteeism, motivation, satisfaction mediation. In addition, mediator bias was considered as another variable influences success.Findings Using quantitative qualitative data it found these perceived asymmetries were negatively associated work motivation satisfaction, positively absenteeism.Originality/value Recommendations for mediators organizations are provided.
