摘要: Abstract Vaccination of APP transgenic mice with Aβ has been shown to prevent amyloid deposits. A clinical trial vaccination in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) was halted due serious neurological complications developing some patients. Such were not observed mice. Since human is a mouse self-protein, should produce an autoimmune reaction although this would be anticipated AD. Moreover, C1q poorly recognizes so complement activation much weaker than will increase through formation antigen–antibody complexes. In enhance phagocytosis. But AD, where already overactivated, and the senile plaques are relatively insoluble, stimulation production membrane attack complex, adding autodestruction neurons. The future as therapy for AD require surmounting problems reactions generally autotoxic specifically.
