摘要: Abstract Objectives Oxytocin (OT) has been shown to play a crucial role in the biology of social interaction. Sex differences associated with this neuropeptide system have reported. OT may serves as an indicator interpersonal stress, especially women. The aim study was investigate sex-specific associations between plasma levels and schizotypal personality features, dimension, healthy individuals. Methods Ninety six participants, including 41 males 55 females, were recruited. Fasting blood samples analyzed by enzyme immunoassay OT. Schizotypal Personality Questionnaire (SPQ) administered. Mann–Whitney U test used difference male female. Spearman's ρ correlation analysis (two-tailed) carried out examine association level SPQ score. Results results showed that significantly positively correlated total score dysfunction dimensional scores only females. Conclusions Although causal relationship remains unclear, our findings provide further evidence support sexual dimorphic biology. Moreover, effect sex also is taken into consideration.
