摘要: In the present study we tested how assimilate availability per kernel at different grain-filling stages may affect maize (Zea mays L.) and sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) individual weight (KW). These two species have shown a contrasting KW response to increased similar seed developmental stages. Plant growth rate (PGR) was used estimate stages: around early period when number plant is also being established, effective period. We 3 commercial genotypes from each species, modified PGR by thinning or shading stand both genotype showed particular relationship between flowering number, which gave range of responses in set flowering. Final always whenever enhanced. Only consistent increase during Results confirmed that increasing will size only if potential development altered. Most important, linking specific sensibility across using simple (i.e. kernel) stage helped explain most explored genotypic environmental variability final size.
