Uterine perforation during curettage: perforation rates and postperforation management.

摘要: Over a period of eight years, 13,344 consecutive patients underwent curettage in our hospital for various indications. Uterine perforation occurred 22 (0.16%) them. An additional seven were admitted with existing uterine perforation. The most common site was the fundus and instrument often involved sharp curette. rates performed postpartum hemorrhage intrauterine adhesions relatively high (5.1 1.8%, respectively); those elective abortion postmenopausal bleeding intermediate (0.4 0.2%, other indications, rate very low (less than or equal to 0.06%). After 15 (51.7%) managed by observation only course uneventful. In 10 (34.5%), exploratory laparotomy performed; three them, no active organ injury found.
