摘要: Bovine besnoitiosis is an economically important disease of cattle, caused by Besnoitia besnoiti (Protozoa, Apicomplexa). A considerable spreading this parasitic infection has been observed in Europe the last ten years, mainly related to animal trade. In order investigate possibility B. being unnoticed introduced and getting established Switzerland through import breeding cattle from France, a total 767 animals (650 imported France 117 that had contact with positive Swiss farms) were screened for antibodies against both commercial ELISA indirect fluorescent antibody test (IFAT). 101 (13.17%) samples showed reaction (cut-off: percent positivity [PP] ≥15) 16 (2.09%) IFAT titers ≥ 1:100. Eight those reacted Western blot (WB), corresponding five Limousin (two cows one bull two Germany) three born (one heifer German cows, adult Braunvieh French at farm). Seven subclinically infected only very mild signs. They subsequently slaughtered, serological diagnosis could be confirmed real-time PCR and/or histopathology seven animals. The most frequent parasite localizations tendons surrounding connective tissue distal limbs skin head region. Furthermore, successfully isolated vitro French, (isolates Bb-IPZ-1-CH, Bb-IPZ-2-CH Bb-IPZ-3-CH). current situation Switzerland, prophylactic control measures should include examination endemic areas culling all herd. evidence locally shows conditions establishment dissemination seem adequate.
