Characterization of whole genome radiation hybrid mapping resources for non-mammalian vertebrates

摘要: Radiation hybrid panels are already available for genome mapping in human and mouse. In this study we have used two model organisms (chicken zebrafish) to show that contain a full complement of the donor can be generated by fusion hamster cells. The quality resulting hybrids has been assessed using PCR FISH. We confirmed utility our establishing percentage DNA present hybrids. Our resources will allow inexpensive gene expect technology transferred many other species. Such successes providing basis new era tools, form whole radiation panels, opening possibilities systematic analysis animal genetics community.
