摘要: Abstract Purpose To report the midterm endothelial cell density measurements after posterior lamellar keratoplasty (Melles techniques). Design Cohort study. Methods Fifteen consecutive eyes of 15 patients in whom a procedure was performed for pseudophakic bullous keratopathy or Fuchs' dystrophy were evaluated. In 11 corneas donor tissue inserted through 9.0-mm sclerocorneal pocket incision (technique A); four cases folded and 5.0-mm B). Specular microscopy at 6, 12, 24, 36 months surgery, to measure density. Results Mean postoperative averaged 2,126 cells/mm 2 (±548) 6 months, 1,859 (±477) 12 1,385 (±451) 24 1,047 (±425) months. Conclusion keratoplasty, corneal endothelium showed decrease similar that conventional full-thickness penetrating keratoplasty.
