摘要: Magnetic resonance (MR)-high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) is an innovative, noninvasive tumour ablation technique. MR imaging and are combined allowing real-time anatomic guidance temperature mapping during treatment. Recently, the volumetric approach has been introduced in order to reduce treatment length provide more homogeneous ablation. After successful of uterine fibroids, MR-HIFU currently being investigated for malignant tumours. Palliative painful bone metastases already applied clinical practice. Several issues need be further cancer with MR-HIFU, including patient selection criteria, definition margins optimal transducer technology.
