摘要: Audio and vibrotactile feedback are not always suitable or desirable, as noise and/or movement may mask them, so thermal provide a salient alternative. In this paper, the identification of 'thermal icons' structured was tested means conveying information when users were sitting walking in an outdoor location. Overall rate for icons 64.6%, but individual parameters promising, at 94% accuracy direction change warming/cooling 73.1% subjective intensity moderate/strong. Results showed that outdoors did significantly worsen icon compared to outdoors, environmental temperature had strong influence. Recommendations given on how better design adapt use mobile scenarios.
