摘要: Endothelin-1 (ET-1) is a potent endogenous arrhythmogenic substance. The aim of our study was to investigate the changes serum ET-1 and big-endothelin levels in patients suffering from spontaneous, incessant ventricular tachyarrhythmias. 11 consecutive patients' (mean age, 59 +/- years) underlying diseases were ischemic heart disease, valvular dilated cardiomyopathy, primary electrical right dysplasia five cases, three one case, respectively. mean ejection fraction 39 14%, New York Heart Association functional status I, II, III two four Ventricular tachycardias (VT) detected patients, fibrillation (VF) VT + VF patients. VTs terminated spontaneously cases. Six required multiple external cardioversion/defibrillation shocks, while implantable cardioverter defibrillators all sustained arrhythmias successfully Blood samples collected during 24 hours (control) following last VT/VF episode. Serum measured with western blot analysis after immunoprecipitation. significantly higher compared control period (ET-1, 65.8 26.8 fmol/mL versus 53.9 22.3 fmol/mL, P < 0.05; big-endothelin, 115.2 39.3 89.2 25.1 0.05). There negative correlation between age level at both times (during VT/VF, r = 0.94, control, 0.91, In conclusion, which can be cause arrhythmia recurrence.
