摘要: Depression is a human illness that may prevent sustainable goal attainment. People with Type 2 diabetes mellitus have much higher risk of being depressed than the nonclinical population, which be due to associations between neurobiological mechanisms play role in two diseases. The objective present study was investigate effects rational emotive cognitive behavioral coaching (RE-CBC) on depressive thinking group inpatients Nigeria. A pretest–posttest control design used. Eighty participants were randomly allocated treatment and groups. Outcomes evaluated using Nigerian language (Igbo) versions Beck Inventory-II Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression, intervention delivered Igbo. An Igbo version Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy Manual used as package. Data analyzed mean rank, repeated measures ANOVA, Mann–Whitney U test. At end intervention, significant decline depression observed among received RE-CBC, but not those standard counseling (control group). RE-CBC maintained at follow-up. results suggest an effective time-efficient managing living diabetes. Further evaluations are warranted other countries.
