摘要: The knowledge about the reproductive phenology of Araucaria angustifolia has applications to seed harvest for "ex situ" conservation, commercial use seeds and understand dynamic regeneration its natural populations. production A. were evaluated a population occurring at Parque Estadual Campos de Jordao, Sao Paulo State, Brazil. present study investigates: (i) how is cycle phenological pattern araucaria? (ii) potential variability? Sixty adult plants (30 males 30 females) marked observations. Seed was estimated based on number female in 10 ha area, cones per plant, cone weight. extended 20 24 months, from observation first fall. pollination occurred between September October maturation fall March June. significantly different years (117 kg.ha-1 2001 e 160 2002). duration ripe offer also years. variation observed amount availability suggests that estimation are important guide strategies conservation management this resource.
