摘要: Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy a computerized anesthesia delivery system in reducing pain during injections when compared with traditional (i.e., syringe). Methods: Subjects consisted 57 patients between ages 5 and 13 needing operative dentistry using local anesthesia. Patients were randomly assigned either or system. Inferior alveolar block injections, palatal, buccal infiltrations only administered throughout study. Pain behavior videotaped coded perceptions rated 10 point visual analogue rating scale. also asked rate their overall satisfaction approval dentist treatment received. Results: Results multivariate analysis variance indicated that there no significant differences method administering comparing ratings behavior. Average for 4.5 while average 3.6. In addition, all subjects reported dental they would be willing return future. Conclusions: A injection found comparable injection. (Pediatr Dent 21:421-424, 1999)
