摘要: Sera from dogs with spontaneously occurring and experimentally produced canine distemper virus-associated demyelinating encephalitis were examined for antibodies to central nervous system myelin by the complement fixation indirect immunofluorescent methods. Complement-fixing immunoglobulin M non-complement-fixing G found in 97% of spontaneous cases. In comparison, only 28% control sera contained these antibodies; furthermore, mean antibody titers groups significantly lower (P < 0.005) when compared group. antimyelin also demonstrated gnotobiotic induced demyelination. The response could be correlated clinicopathological features disease produced. Results this study indicate that demyelination may proceed immune mechanisms.
