摘要: Introduction: Silver nanoparticles are currently utilized in the fields of dentistry. The aim this study was to evaluate antibacterial properties and ion release nanosilver coated orthodontic brackets compared conventional brackets. Methods: Nanosilver coating process applied standard placed on mandibular incisors Wistar Albino rats group control group. Dental plaque, mucosal vestibular smears, saliva, blood samples were collected from at various days. amounts ions saliva measured microbiological evaluation made for Streptococcus mutans . For testing cariogenicity, all sacrificed end 75 days under anaesthesia. Teeth stained using a caries indicator, then ratio assessed. Results: bracket favoured inhibition S.mutans Day 30 reduction smooth surfaces. serum significantly higher 7. Conclusion: It is suggested that brackets, as an agent without patient compliance, could be helpful prevention white spot lesions during fixed treatment.
