Myricetin induces apoptosis by inhibiting P21 activated kinase 1 (PAK1) signaling cascade in hepatocellular carcinoma

摘要: Hepatocellular carcinoma is one of the most common malignancies worldwide and evidence suggests that Ras signaling regulates various hallmarks cancer via regulating several effector pathways such as ERK PI3K. The aim present study to understand efficacy a flavonoid myricetin for first time in inhibiting downstream target p21 activated kinase 1 (PAK1) pathway hepatocellular carcinoma. analysis gene expression revealed inhibits PAK1 by abrogating Ras-mediated decelerating Wnt signaling, Erk/Akt, thereby inducing intrinsic caspase-mediated mitochondrial apoptosis downregulating anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 survivin upregulating pro-apoptotic Bax. results also provide striking development HCC coordinate abrogation MAPK/ERK PI3K/AKT their Wnt/β-catenin pathway, thus being promising candidate prevention therapy.
