摘要: Vibro-acoustography (VA) is a medical imaging method based on the nonlinear interaction of two or more distinct ultrasound beams whose frequencies differ by several kHz. In turn, interacting waves produce difference-frequency signal which carries information imaged tissue region. Two mechanisms are responsible for generation (DFG) in VA, namely dynamic (oscillatory) radiation force and scattering sound-by-sound. The role importance each phenomenon VA assessed here. A theoretical model Westervelt's equation DFG incident small rigid sphere (compared to wavelengths) presented. Furthermore, experiment using devised data show very good agreement with proposed theory. results reveal that effect sound-by-sound dominant component rather than force.
