Effects of water quality and water quantity on nutritional status: findings from a south Indian community

摘要: Quantitative assessments of the relative effects on health various aspects water supply are virtually absent from literature. Despite lack information, resources being allocated throughout developing world, for projects related to and sanitation. The present study was designed specifically overcome many methodological problems that other researchers have faced. Data were collected concerning nutritional status 627 children in three urban communities South India. Information also quality, quantity, household sanitation, socioeconomic conditions, housing. A statistical technique is presented allows controlling potential confounding factors analyses. results, general, indicate at young ages (i.e., under 3 years old) quality relatively more important as a determinant status, while older quantity important.
