摘要: Global food markets demand the adoption of standards by small-scale farmers in developing countries when they enter international markets. While a conventional certification with GlobalGAP can be market entry condition for food, especially horticultural products, organic is required growing that usually associated higher prices. This study analyzes and profitability certified farming, using recently collected farm-level data 386 Ghanaian pineapple farmers. We employ an endogenous switching regression model to examine impact on return investment (ROI). The empirical results indicate both result positive ROI. However, farming yields significantly ROI than farmers, mainly due price premium market. Thus, found more profitable venture.
