摘要: Purpose: Purpose of this paper is the investigation on properties and microstructural changes in Friction Stir Welds aluminum alloy 6082-T6 function varying process parameters. Design/methodology/approach: Tensile strength produced joints was tested correlation with parameter assessed. Microstructures various zones FSW welds are presented analyzed by means optical microscopy microhardness measurements. Findings: Mechanical resistance test increased increase travel (welding) speed constant rotational speed. Softening material weld nugget heat affected zone observed, entity inferior that fusion welds. Origin tunnel (worm hole) defects were found analyzed. Research limitations/implications: The combinations parameters without possibility controlling downward force. Further extension applicable could be examined. Practical implications: mechanical increasing welding offers an immediate economic return, as efficiency increased. Originality/value: Information contained herein can useful to further investigate improving welds, well process.
