Reconfiguration of large-scale systems using back-up components

摘要: Abstract Large-scale control systems tend to present a large number of alternative and back-up elements that, although not used in nominal operation, could be brought into play if necessary. Such hardware redundancy extends the fault tolerant capabilities system, while posing problem selecting most suitable new system configuration. Accordingly, this paper aims formulate of, after occurrence, (in some sense) optimal configuration that maintains an admissible performance until restoration service. The selection is posed as multi-objective mixed-integer program (MIP) solved using lexicographic approach. Aiming at reducing worst-case execution time, analysis necessary properties for existence solution, well how manage information obtained by evaluating such included MIP, are investigated. A portion water distribution network order validate proposed solution.
