摘要: Archaeologists investigating Dorset culture harpoon heads have observed that some specimens are noticeably smaller than all the rest. These miniature been identified variously as toys, art, and paraphernalia of shamans. The excavation two sites in 2001 produced assemblages varying sizes. In order to correctly classify those heads, determine if represented a separate conceptual category for Dorset, authors studied from wide range determined there is no justification considering small based solely on metrics. There evidence smallest were mounted proportionately much larger harpoons, indicating they may used hunting species.
