One- and two-photon spectroscopy of Eu3+ in LuPO4

摘要: Abstract One-photon laser excitation and fluorescence spectra have been recorded for the Eu 3+ ion diluted in single crystals of LuPO 4 . Analysis these resulted assignment 23 energy levels 7 F J 5 D multiplets, which were fitted to parameters an empirical Hamiltonian with rms deviation 8.7 cm −1 The intensities two-photon absorption transitions 0 2 multiplets investigated. polarization dependences all five crystal-field measured are compared theoretical predictions. intensity model included third-order spin–orbit interaction. Good agreement was found three observed. However, other two did not agree predicted behavior, as they exhibited additional isotropic component.
