摘要: This paper presents a systematic study of the effect slotting, i.e. number slots and slot opening; airgap magnet thicknesses on rotor electromagnetic losses in surface synchronous generators. All machines have same overall diameter, stator bore diameter active length. They were all designed to approximately emf; thickness was adjusted achieve this. also assumed output sinusoidal current, at power factor. Rotor calculated using both analytical transient rotating mesh finite element analysis methods. The results are presented normalised fashion showing per unit area versus s /λ g /λ, where s, g, λ denote slot-opening, total gap between hub bore, pitch. In addition providing an insight into slotting geometry losses, such graphs may be used make quick estimates losses. validity this approach is investigated by comparison from data with those FEA for different sizes slots.
