摘要: This paper describes a computationally efficient approach for mapping rotor power loss in permanent magnet (PM) machines. The PM methodology discussed here utilizes small number of time-step finite-element analyses (FEAs) to determine the parameters functional representation variation with speed (frequency) and stator current is intended rapid evaluation machine performance over entire torque–speed envelope. research focus placed on field-oriented-controlled brushless AC machines surface-mounted construction, although method could be adapted other formats. procedure accounts axial segmentation array through use an equivalent electrical resistivity segmented array, which obtained from three-dimensional (3-D) FEA. can accurately mapped across full operational envelope, including field-weakened mode, single 3-D four two-dimensional FEAs. proposed validated 18-slot 16-pole design. results closely agree demanding alternative direct prediction undertaken at each machine's operating points.
