Co-operative ties and innovation: Some new evidence for UK manufacturing

摘要: Abstract Drawing upon survey data from 436 firms, this paper explores the impact of co-operative ties levels innovation (both product and process) in five UK manufacturing industries. Unlike a number previous studies area, itself captures both scale multi-dimensional nature co-operation innovation. The finds evidence to support hypothesis that vertical are significant factor explaining firms’ innovative performance. However, empirical analysis suggests it is strength such – not just their existence which important with stronger dyadic relations between firms having positive also some sectors, horizontal (albeit lesser extent) important.
