摘要: Influenza remains a serious cause of disease in man and death the aged. Vaccination is only transiently effective providing immunity1, because surface haemagglutinin molecule virus can evolve rapidly, allowing to escape neutralization by immunizing antibody. Of three influenza A subtypes2 known infection man, H1 subtype particular interest as it has proved be dominant human this century now co-circulating with variants H3 subtype. Here we present sequence gene an early (strain A/PR/8/34) determined recombinant DNA methods dideoxy sequencing. From deduced amino acid define antigenic site at residue 160. Comparison molecules3–9 shows that H2 subtypes are more homologous one another than other subtypes, which suggests they have diverged recently from another.
