摘要: BACKGROUND This study aimed to investigate and compare the positions dimensions of temporomandibular joint its components, respectively, in patients with Class II division 1 2 malocclusions. MATERIAL AND METHODS Computed tomography images 14 malocclusion were included a mean age 11.4 ± 1.2 years. The following measurements made OsiriX medical imaging software program. From sagittal images, anterior, superior, posterior spaces mandibular fossa depths measured. axial greatest anteroposterior mediolateral diameters condyles, angles between long axis condyle midsagittal plane, vertical distances from geometric centers condyles plane independent samples t-test was used for comparing two sides groups. RESULTS No statistically significant differences observed right left joints; therefore, data pooled. There groups regard depth anterior space measurements. CONCLUSIONS In patients, joints symmetrical. group, wider than that deeper group. Key words:Temporomandibular joint, malocclusion, Cone beam computed tomography.
