摘要: The small intestine is an uncommon site of gastro-intestinal (GI) bleeding; however it the commonest cause obscure GI bleeding. It may require multiple blood transfusions, diagnostic procedures and repeated hospitalizations. Angiodysplasia bleeding, particularly in elderly. Inflammatory lesions tumours are usual causes intestinal bleeding younger patients. Capsule endoscopy deep enteroscopy have improved our ability to investigate bowel bleeds. Deep has also added advantage therapeutic potential. Computed tomography helpful identifying extra-intestinal lesions. In cases difficult diagnosis, surgery intra-operative can help with diagnosis management. treatment dependent upon aetiology bleed. An overt bleed requires aggressive resuscitation immediate localisation lesion for institution appropriate therapy. Small be managed by conservative, radiological, pharmacological, endoscopic surgical methods, depending indications, expertise availability. Some patients, especially those vascular lesions, re-bleed even after pose challenge treating physician.
