摘要: The growing number of heart failure patients and the scarcity donor organs give rise to development mechanical circulatory support devices for a long-term support. After approximately 15 years experience, these should be critically evaluated. presented article gives an overview on currently most often used systems, describes indications implantation (bridge cardiac transplantation, destination therapy, bridge recovery), complications like bleeding, thromboembolic events, infections, technical failures, analyzes costs this therapy. Furthermore, alternative treatment options coronary artery bypass grafting, valve surgery, defibrillator implantation, multisite pacing, dynamic passive cardiomyoplasty, partial left ventriculectomy (PLV), Myosplint (Myocor, Maple Grove, MN, USA), stem cell xenotransplantation are shortly presented, future is discussed. Despite great benefitting from devices, with will only compete other therapeutic strategies if rates failures as well significantly reduced. innovative therapies biochemical influencing metabolism have high potential may play important role in future.
