摘要: This study investigates the novel approach of placing a ventricular assist pump in descending aorta series configuration with heart and compares it two traditional approaches left-ventricle-to-ascending-aorta (LV-AA) left-ventricle-to-descending-aorta (LV-DA) placement parallel heart. Experiments were conducted by using in-house simulator cardiovascular blood-flow loop (SCVL). The results indicate that use LV-AA in-parallel leads to significant improvement systemic pulmonic flow as level continuous is increased; however, this considered highly invasive. LV-DA an at lower levels but higher support retrograde flow. In both configurations, increasing decrease pulsatility certain extent. show pressure drop upstream facilitates cardiac output result afterload reduction. addition, rise downstream may renal perfusion. However, same time, generated proximal part induces slight carotid perfusion, which would be autoregulated brain native system. pulse wave analysis shows improved comparison configurations.
