摘要: Background To compare the demographics, chosen treatment options, and 1-year outcome of patients with severe critical limb ischemia (Fontaine IV) in 2 different patient cohorts. Methods A total 118 consecutive an ischemic tissue lesion a lower extremity referred for first time to vascular surgery outpatient clinic Helsinki University Hospital 96 Division Vascular Surgery Tokyo Medical Dental were included this comparative analysis. Kaplan–Meier estimates used assess survival, leg salvage, amputation-free survival (AFS). Propensity score analysis was adjust differences between study groups. Results The median age cohorts greater Finland than Japan (80 vs. 69 years, P  = 0.015), end-stage renal disease (35% 5%,  = 0.286). proportion independently ambulant at referral (80% 54%,  = 0.326), 82% 74% (  = 0.216), 59% 55%  = 0.573) Finnish Japanese cohorts, respectively. AFS significantly better nonambulant combined data (68% 36%, Conclusions pattern comorbid conditions these is different, but did not differ
