A study of suicide in schizophrenic in-patients.

摘要: A retrospective analysis of the clinical records 53 schizophrenic in-patients who committed suicide, and same number matched control subjects, was carried out using a larger set demographic, psychosocial variables. Univariate data indicated an early disturbed adjustment, more severe mental illness, unsatisfactory social situation, frequent suicidal behaviour in suicide group. Suicide thus appears to be closely connected with particularly incapacitating form illness its deleterious consequences.
