摘要: Background/aim:  The design of built environments is a critical factor in facilitating participation for all community members. This study aimed to explore key stakeholders’ views on the role and collaboration occupational therapists architects relation universal environment. currently only research focus needs practices both therapy architecture design. results have implications clinical practice professional education, highlight an area developing interest therapy. Methods:  Focus groups semi-structured telephone interviews were conducted with stakeholders involved environments. Data from these analysed qualitatively, using codes interpreted meaning which then organised into themes. Results:  Three main themes emerged inter-professional around design: ‘form vs. function’, ‘the earlier better’ ‘universal as specialist area’. Discussion/conclusions:  Although there are areas synergy between design, each profession has its own strengths skills bring process. Given multidisciplinary nature ensuring designs support occupations roles, professions could benefit opportunities meaningfully collaborate during education workplace.
