摘要: Hyaluronan is a very large polysaccharide that found in extracellular matrices, at the cell surface and inside cells. This review focuses on functions of hyaluronan directly associated with surface, where it commonly present as essential core highly hydrated pericellular matrix contains several other components (hyaladherins) bound to hyaluronan. Three major molecular characteristics contribute its physiological functions: unique hydrodynamic properties, interactions structural hyaladherins, instructive effects signaling behavior. Recent studies hyaluronan-deficient mouse embryos illustrate importance each these classes function It postulated morphogenetic are due ability act template for assembly multi-component, well physical properties. would provide environment which cells separated from barriers changes receive signals itself factors.
