摘要: Factor XI (FXI) is the zymogen of a plasma protease, factor XIa (FXIa), that contributes to thrombin generation during blood coagulation by proteolytic activation several factors, most notably IX (FIX). FXI homolog prekallikrein (PK), component kallikrein-kinin system. While sharing structural and functional features with PK, has undergone adaptive changes allow it contribute coagulation. Here we review current understanding biology enzymology FXI, an emphasis on protein as they relate protease function.
