摘要: Administration of steroid-free bovine follicular fluid (bFF), containing inhibin-like activity, depressed levels FSH measured 4 h after injection in intact adult and 35-day-old female rats, but not younger females. Suppression was also observed male aged 55 days, older rats. Eight hours bFF, were 15-day-old immature rats both sexes. Male gonadectomized 2 days earlier, responded similarly to bFF treatment as did the animals. In a second experiment it found that rise levels, occurring within 8 gonadectomy, decreased with age increased Steroid prevent partially completely 25-day-old whereas fully effective blocking It is concluded inhibin might be major physiological factor fast-acting control concentrations from at least 25 onwards its significance limited prepubertal period, despite fact pituitary secretion suppressed by exogenous activity all ages studied.
